Freestanding dishwashers are the most popular type, being versatile and movable. As its name suggests, it can be used as a standalone appliance but is more usually installed under the kitchen bench top. Integrated dishwashers are intended to blend into the kitchen, faced with a matching cabinet door and fitted snugly into place in the cabinet line . Freestanding ones need a slightly wider space under bench so they can be slid in and out. We also have the popular option of models featuring the cutlery drawer instead of the basket.

For best results from your dishwasher use riseaid, which helps to ensure that dishes are dry at the end of the cycle. Rinse aid is added to a special compartment in the machine so that a very small amount can be released during the final hot rinse. It reduces the size of water droplets on crockery etc. to ensure that the water dries quickly and evenly and avoids leaving smears. Some of the latest models have the 3-in-1 feature, which contains pre-wash, main wash and rinse aid in one tablet. Look for the 3-in-1 feature in the dishwasher specifications if this appeals to you.
